Fox was in a winning league of its own on Tuesday, beating with its combination of the season-premiere of House (Viewers: #1, 14.41 million; A18-49: #1, 5.5 rating/16 share) and week two of Fringe (Viewers: #1, 13.36 million; A18-49: #1, 5.2/13), which held 87 percent in viewers and 88 percent among adults 18-49 of the 8:30 p.m. portion of House (Viewers: 15.37 million; A18-49: 5.9/16). Although most new shows drop by 10 to 20 percent in the second week, Fringe actually built by a hefty 4.23 million viewers and 62 percent in the demo from its 90-minute debut one week earlier (Viewers: 9.13 million; A18-49: 3.2/ 9 on Sept. 10) thanks to the support of House.

The TV Addict recently got a very lucky tour of Dr. Bishop’s lab led by the show’s very own Astrid Farnsworth, Jasika Nicole. It’s a very fun read with some great pictures.

“Last month, this TV Addict was given the unique opportunity to tour Dr. Walter Bishop’s FRINGE laboratory with none other than Junior Agent Astrid Farnsworth [Played by the delightful Jasika Nicole] as my guide.

The set itself is a fairly precise replica of the Church basement in Toronto where FRINGE shot the pilot. “You’ll notice that the lab looks really old because it hasn’t been utilized in seventeen years.” Explained Nicole as the tour commenced, “I think one of the cool things they [the set designers] did was make the Lab really old, but bring in all this new technology illustrating the clash between the old and new technology.””
